一般動詞の三単現とは何か？
一般動詞の三単現とは、主語が３人称単数（he、she、it、または名詞単数）の場合に、 動詞の語尾に「s」をつけるルールのことです。
これは英語の文法において非常に重要なルールであり、日常会話でも頻繁に使われます。 正しく理解し、自然に使えるようにしましょう。
三単現の作り方
一般動詞の三単現には、主に３つのルールがあります。 それぞれのパターンをしっかり覚えましょう。
1. 語尾が s, sh, ch, o で終わる動詞
これらの動詞は、語尾に「es」をつけます。
- go → goes
- wash → washes
- watch → watches
- do → does
2. 語尾が子音字 + y で終わる動詞
語尾の「y」を「i」に変えて「es」をつけます。
- study → studies
- try → tries
- carry → carries
3. それ以外の動詞
上記以外の動詞は、単純に「s」をつけるだけです。
- play → plays
- eat → eats
- drink → drinks
三単現が主語の肯定文
三単現が主語の肯定文では、主語が he、she、it、または名詞単数のとき、 動詞の語尾に「s」をつけます。
以下に例文を紹介します。
- She sings very well.（彼女はとても上手に歌います。）
- He runs fast.（彼は速く走ります。）
- The sun rises in the east.（太陽は東から昇ります。）
- The bird flies in the sky.（鳥は空を飛びます。）
三単現が主語の否定文
三単現が主語の否定文では、動詞の前にdoes not（短縮形: doesn't）をつけます。 このとき、動詞は原形を使う点に注意しましょう。
以下に例文を紹介します。
- She does not like coffee.（彼女はコーヒーが好きではありません。）
- He does not watch TV in the morning.（彼は朝テレビを見ません。）
- The cat does not like water.（猫は水が嫌いです。）
- The book does not belong to me.（その本は私のものではありません。）
三単現が主語の疑問文
三単現が主語の疑問文では、doesを文の先頭に置き、動詞は原形を使います。
以下に例文を紹介します。
